Major roads to close in Kuwait on Sunday morning for 45th Gulf Summit

The closures starting at 10:30 am on December 1 will affect major routes.

The Ministry of Interior announced that the General Directorate of Traffic will close several roads starting at 10:30 am on Sunday, December 1 to facilitate the 45th Gulf Summit of Their Majesties, Highnesses, and Presidents of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), as reported by Al Jarida newspaper.

The closures will affect major routes, including: King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Road will be closed from the airport roundabout towards Kuwait City, with vehicles redirected to Al-Ghazali Road and Road 6.5.

The road from Kuwait City towards the airport will also be closed, and vehicles will be redirected to the Sixth Ring Road towards Jahra.

The Sixth Ring Road coming from Jahra towards Kuwait City will be closed, with vehicles redirected to King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Road towards Kuwait City.

The section coming from Masila towards Jahra will be closed, with vehicles redirected to King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Road.

King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Road coming from Al-Ahmadiwill be closed, with vehicles redirected to the Sixth Ring Road towards Masila. Traffic coming from the city will be redirected to the Fifth Ring Road, which will also be closed beyond a certain point.

The road from Kuwait City towards Al-Ahmadi will be closed at the Fifth Ring Road, with vehicles redirected to Jahra and Salmiya. Additionally, Sobhan Road will be completely closed in both directions.

The General Directorate of Security Relations and Information urged citizens and residents to cooperate with authorities during this period and to follow traffic diversions to ensure smooth operations.
