Major road maintenance begins in Jaber Al-Ali to upgrade, modernise infrastructure

The Minister of Public Works, Noura Al-Mashaan, announced the launch of extensive maintenance work in the Jaber Al-Ali area, Ahmadi Governorate, under new contracts. She reaffirmed the ministry’s dedication to enhancing road infrastructure across all regions, ensuring high-quality execution in line with international standards.
Al-Mishaan stated that specialized teams have inspected the Jaber Al-Ali area ahead of the planned maintenance work. Repairs will start in the most affected areas first, followed by less impacted sections, with continuous supervision and follow-up by ministry teams to ensure quality execution.
Importantly, Al-Mishaan emphasized the significance of coordination in addressing outstanding road maintenance issues and urged implementing companies to expedite work while ensuring high quality and efficiency. She also stressed adherence to approved technical standards and the agreed-upon timeline.
Al-Mishaan encouraged road users to stay updated through the General Traffic Department on any road closures to avoid congestion. She also urged residents to be patient and cooperate with authorities, noting that the maintenance work includes laying a new asphalt layer within the specified timeframe.
