Major-General Pilot Sabah returns from Edinburgh after participating in Dragon Group meeting

Deputy Chief of Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, Major General Pilot Sabah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and his accompanying delegation returned to Kuwait yesterday after attending the ninth meeting of the Chiefs of Staff of the Dragon Group member states, held in Edinburgh, Scotland.

According to a statement from the General Staff of the Army, the meeting brought together military leaders from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon, as well as representatives from the GCC General Secretariat.

The discussions focused on enhancing regional security, coordinating joint defense efforts, and developing mechanisms for collective military action. Participants also addressed current security challenges and stressed the importance of unifying regional positions to achieve stability.

On the sidelines of the meeting, Major General Sabah Al-Jaber held a bilateral meeting with Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, Chief of the British Defence Staff. The two military leaders reviewed bilateral military relations, explored ways to strengthen cooperation, and exchanged views on strategic issues of mutual concern.

The Deputy Chief of Staff also met with General Rodolphe Heikal, Commander of the Lebanese Army. The meeting included friendly discussions and a review of potential areas of cooperation, particularly in the military field. Several issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
