Major General Al-Jaber affirms strong military ties with Bangladesh

Deputy Chief of Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, Major General Pilot Sabah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, reaffirmed the strength of bilateral relations between Kuwait and Bangladesh, particularly in the field of military cooperation.
According to a statement issued by the Kuwaiti Army on Wednesday, the remarks came during Major General Al-Jaber’s meeting with the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Kuwait, Major General Syed Tariq Hossain.
The meeting featured cordial discussions and an exchange of views on key matters of mutual interest, especially those concerning defense collaboration, reports Al-Rai daily.
Separately, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed Kuwait’s heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Bangladesh following the recent crash of a military aircraft in Dhaka, which resulted in multiple deaths and injuries.
Kuwait expressed its full solidarity with Bangladesh during this time of grief and extended wishes for a swift recovery to those injured in the tragedy.
In a related announcement, the Army Chief of Staff declared an extension of the registration period for aspiring officer cadets at Ali Al-Sabah Military College. Enrollment for Class 51—open to candidates holding diplomas and high school certificates—has been extended until July 29.
To encourage broader participation, the age eligibility criteria have been exceptionally modified for the 2025 batch, allowing more applicants to pursue a career in the armed forces.
