Macron condemns Iranian attacks on Kuwait, pledges France’s full support

His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received a telephone call on Monday from the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, who expressed solidarity with Kuwait following the recent Iranian attacks that targeted the country’s territory and airspace.
During the call, Macron inquired about the situation in Kuwait and conveyed his concern for the leadership and the Kuwaiti people in light of the attacks.
He reiterated France’s strong condemnation of what he described as a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the State of Kuwait, as well as international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
The French president affirmed that France stands firmly with Kuwait and its people, expressing support for all measures taken to safeguard the country’s sovereignty, security, and stability, reports Al-Rai.
He also stressed France’s readiness to mobilize all available capabilities and resources in support of Kuwait.
For his part, His Highness the Amir expressed his appreciation to President Macron for the sincere solidarity and supportive stance demonstrated by the friendly French Republic during the recent attacks, wishing him continued health and well-being.
The two leaders also discussed the latest developments on the regional and international fronts, as well as the current situation in the region.
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti General Staff announced that air defense systems had intercepted missile attacks and hostile drones targeting the country, while the Kuwait National Guard confirmed the downing of a drone at one of the sites under its protection.
