Liquor worth over one million dinars seized by customs officers
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, accompanied by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf, oversaw the seizure of imported liquor valued at over one million dinars at the port of Shuwaikh.
According to Al-Anba daily the consignment comprised 13,422 bottles of foreign liquor. Expressing gratitude for the diligent efforts in combating the smuggling of narcotics and intoxicants into the country, Al-Yousef stressed the importance of remaining vigilant and resolute at all times to preempt contraband smuggling attempts.
Al-Yousef reaffirmed the unwavering capability of the Criminal Security Sector and the General Administration of Customs to confront attempts to smuggle alcohol and promote its distribution within society. He emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards alcohol smugglers and merchants.
