Life term overturned in airline embezzlement case
. . . new verdict 10 years imprisonment and 2.999 million dinars fine

The Court of Appeal’s Second Circuit, headed by Counselor Nasr Salem Al-Haid has overturned the life imprisonment sentence issued against an employee of a company in which Kuwait Airways holds a stake.
The lower sentenced the man to 10 years imprisonment and ordered him to pay a fine of 2.999 million dinars after convicting him of embezzling funds from the airline company.
The court also sentenced a second accused to 7 years in prison, upheld the acquittal of three others and ordered the suspension of proceedings for defendants previously sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment.
