The arrests were carried out by the Airport Inspection Unit of the Internal Security Forces’ Security Unit for Embassies, Administrations, and Public Institutions, reports Al-Rai daily.
The suspects were stopped in the VIP lounge as they prepared to board a flight to Kuwait. Authorities discovered around 20 kilograms of Captagon pills hidden inside belts strapped around their waists.
Hajjar confirmed that investigations are underway under the supervision of the competent judiciary authorities.
