Late-night sleeping harmful to health

A new study from the University of Surrey reveals that late-night sleeping increases the risk of depression. The research, conducted with 550 university students aged 17-28, found that those who stayed up late reported higher levels of depression, according to Al-Arabiya.net.

Late sleep was also linked to poor concentration, higher alcohol consumption, and lower sleep quality. The researchers emphasized the importance of addressing these habits, particularly as mental health issues rise among adults.

They suggest that mental exercises and further studies could help develop strategies to reduce depression risk in late sleepers
