Kuwait’s Youth Authority endorses 2025/2026 plan centered on future skills

Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, has underscored the vital importance of empowering Kuwaiti youth by supporting their development and helping them achieve their ambitions through structured and positively impactful programs.

His remarks came during the third meeting of the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Youth, which he chaired. The session focused on strategies to enhance youth work and strengthen the capabilities of young people in contributing to Kuwait’s sustainable development goals, according to Al-Rai daily.

In a statement following the meeting, the Authority confirmed that Minister Al-Mutairi emphasized the need for the executive body to actively follow up on all initiatives that support young people, particularly by organizing skill-enhancing activities at youth centers across the country.

During the session, the Authority approved its operational plan for the 2025/2026 fiscal year. The plan prioritizes youth development in key areas, especially science, technology, and artificial intelligence — sectors identified as critical to shaping the future.

The meeting also endorsed increased collaboration with the Qatar Debate Center, aiming to further refine the debating skills of Kuwaiti youth. This partnership builds on Kuwait’s strong performance in previous international debate championships and reflects the broader goal of nurturing well-rounded, globally competitive talent.
