Kuwait’s T1 Airport Terminal to resume operations in Nov ahead of Saudi Super Cup

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah has confirmed that Kuwait International Airport’s T1 terminal will resume operations in November, ahead of Kuwait hosting the Saudi Football Super Cup.
Speaking to the press after attending the signing ceremony for the government partner sponsorship agreement for the Saudi Super Cup at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, Al-Yousef said the Ministry of Interior had taken several measures to facilitate the arrival of Saudi fans, reports Al-Jarida daily.
Among the measures is an expansion of capacity at the Nuwaiseeb border crossing, where 20 dedicated counters will be available to receive travellers.
Al-Yousef added that the ministry had also decided to exempt players and administrative staff participating in the matches from biometric fingerprinting at the airport. Special identification cards will be issued to them to facilitate their entry into and exit from Kuwait.
