Kuwait’s new resident driving permit now valid for all transactions
Under Ministerial Decree No. 2815 of 2024, a vehicle driving permit for residents issued through the ‘My Identity’ application shall be valid and recognized by all authorities in the country.
Kuwait published the Ministerial Decree No. 2815 of 2024, regarding the adoption of a vehicle driving permit for residents, in today’s edition of the Official Gazette, according to Al Jarida newspaper.
The decision stipulated in its first article that “a vehicle driving permit for residents issued through the ‘My Identity’ application shall be valid and recognized by all authorities in the country, and shall be used in all governmental and non-governmental transactions to verify its existence and validity.”
The second article stated, “The Undersecretary of the Ministry shall implement this decision, which shall take effect as of the date of its publication.”
