Kuwait’s ‘National Celebrations Committee’ discusses on highest-standards preparations for 2025

The Permanent Committee for Celebrating National Holidays and Occasions in the country, which is headed by Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, discussed today, Sunday, its preparations for the coming year 2025.

During the meeting held at Seif Palace, Minister Al-Mutairi stressed the importance of the committee working diligently to coordinate, and similarly plans to organize the celebrations at a high-level that will be according to the highest standards, reflecting the civilized face of Kuwait.

Al-Mutairi emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety of all procedures and the quality of work, with full coordination between the relevant authorities and putting in place the necessary measures before launching the events. This is being done to ensure they proceed smoothly and without any obstacles.

On a significant note during the meeting, Minister Al-Mutairi appreciated the efforts of the Chairperson of the Volunteer Work Center, Sheikha Amthal Al-Ahmad, and the committee members representing government agencies during the previous national holidays and occasions, which had a great impact on the success of the national celebrations.

The Minister specifically pointed out the Committee’s keenness this year, to involve the private sector in the activities of celebrating the national holidays.

In regards to this, a series of coordination meetings were held between representatives of the private sector and teams affiliated with the Permanent Committee. This was done with the aim of enhancing cooperation and ensuring effective contribution from all parties in highlighting these national occasions.

Moreover, in the meeting it was discussed, what the (51) digital platform owned by the Ministry of Information will do in terms of marketing the events and celebrations of the State of Kuwait.
Similarly, highlighting these in a proper manner through its programs, follow-up, and presentation of events, which will be in addition to watching visual presentations of the Kuwait Shopping Festival project.

A model of the activities and events accompanying the national celebrations in the country was presented during the meeting, and also the locations for holding them were determined. They are scheduled to begin from the date of raising the flag next February, and will continue until the end of March 2025.

Likewise, during the meeting, visual presentations were showcased by the activity and event teams, identity, logistical support, security, crowd management, quality control, follow-up and evaluation.
It is noteworthy that the committee had previously approved the slogan for the national celebrations “Pride and Glory”, and it will be approved for the coming years.

A specific shade of blue was chosen for the slogan, which is the official color of the State of Kuwait.
