‘Kuwait’s Interior Ministry’ seizes 509 residency violators and deports 648
The Ministry of Interior has announced that as part of its ongoing security measures to enforce the Residency and Work Law, a total of 509 violators have been apprehended, and 648 individuals have been removed from the country since the beginning of the new year.
Furthermore, the Ministry further stated, in a post on the social networking site “X,” that these efforts were part of 28 extensive security campaigns conducted by the General Directorate of Residency Affairs Investigations across all governorates. These campaigns were carried out between January 1 and January 13, 2025.
The Ministry affirmed its commitment to strictly enforcing the law, stating that it will not hesitate to apprehend and hold accountable violators of the Residency Law. The accountability measures will apply to both workers and employers found in violation.
