The Ministry of Oil has introduced the Petroleum Culture Platform to enhance public awareness of the oil and gas sector. This initiative targets various age groups, educating the public on the history and strategic importance of the oil industry in supporting the national economy. It also provides students, researchers, and enthusiasts with a rich source of reference information, as reported by Al Rai newspaper.

In this context, Sheikh Dr. Nimr Fahd Al-Malik Al-Sabah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, stated that the Petroleum Culture Platform is part of the ministry’s efforts to foster comprehensive and accessible awareness of the oil and gas sector. The ministry aims to facilitate access to diverse information through an easy-to-use, interactive platform that enables visitors to navigate seamlessly through its sections.

Sheikh Dr. Nimr Fahd explained that the platform emphasizes visual and interactive content about the oil industry, making complex topics more accessible and engaging. This approach is designed to benefit students and interested individuals from all backgrounds.

Petroleum Culture Platform chronicles Kuwait’s oil sector history in photos and documents

Sheikha Tamader Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Director of Public Relations and Petroleum Information at the Ministry of Oil, stated that the platform serves as an extensive archive of photos and documents, covering key milestones in the history of Kuwait’s oil sector and the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and its subsidiaries. This archive includes significant historical landmarks within Kuwait’s oil industry and the broader Arab Gulf region, with detailed explanations showcasing major achievements, from early discoveries to modern projects that enhance Kuwait’s global standing.

She noted that the ministry has made the platform accessible online as an open resource, allowing students, academics, and researchers worldwide to explore and benefit from its content. This initiative aligns with the ministry’s goal of raising awareness about the oil sector and Kuwait’s role in promoting energy sustainability.

She pointed out that the information provided by the platform includes accurate data on the discovery of oil and the development of the petroleum industry in the Arab Gulf countries and other regional nations in the Middle East.
