Kuwait’s festive Eid al-Fitr celebration set for April 10
Al-Ujairi Scientific Center and the Qatari Calendar House said the crescent of Shawwal for this year will emerge on the evening of April 8, which marks the day of investigation, at 9:22 pm Kuwait and Doha time.
Al-Ujairi Scientific Center and the Qatari Calendar House have jointly announced that, based on precise astronomical calculations, Eid al-Fitr will commence on Wednesday, April 10.
The center and the House further stated that the crescent of Shawwal for this year will emerge on the evening of April 8, which marks the day of investigation, at 9:22 pm Kuwait and Doha time.
Consequently, the crescent will not be visible in the skies of Kuwait, Qatar, and other Arab and Islamic countries on that evening since it will not have been born by sunset. They clarified that the Shawwal crescent will be visible for 55 minutes on the evening of April 9, indicating that, in accordance with astronomical calculations, Ramadan will last for 30 days this year.
