Kuwait’s annual rheumatology conference set for April 18-19

Dr. Heba Al-Hajiri described the conference as a key scientific platform for sharing expertise and exploring the latest advancements in rheumatic and immune diseases at both Gulf and international levels.

This year, the Kuwait Rheumatology Associations third annual conference features six prominent international speakers, two regional speakers, and 25 local speakers who will moderate sessions, enriching discussions and fostering a diverse and dynamic scientific environment.

Dr. Heba Al-Hajiri, President of the Kuwait Rheumatology Association, announced that the association’s third annual conference will take place on April 18 and 19 under the patronage of Health Minister Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, reported Arabic daily Al Jarida.

In a press statement, Al-Hajiri described the conference as a key scientific platform for sharing expertise and exploring the latest advancements in rheumatic and immune diseases at both Gulf and international levels.

She added, “This year, we are proud to have broad participation, including six high-profile international speakers, two regional speakers, and 25 local speakers who will moderate the sessions—enriching discussions and creating a rich, diverse scientific environment.”

She noted that the conference program stands out for its diversity and comprehensiveness, featuring specialized dialogue sessions titled Meet the Experts.These sessions will cover lupus erythematosus, vasculitis, and ankylosing spondylitis through interactive panels that allow participants to engage directly with international experts.

Al-Hajri emphasized the importance of including all relevant specialties in the conference. “Therefore, we have dedicated advanced workshops for internists and primary care physicians, along with focused sessions and lectures for pediatricians specializing in rheumatology.”

She stressed that the Kuwait Rheumatology Association remains committed to enhancing scientific exchange and supporting physicians in staying updated with the latest scientific and research developments—ultimately improving the quality of care for patients in Kuwait and the region.
