They also recall the position of the late US President George H.W. Bush, who declared his support for Kuwaiti rights and pledged the return of a free and independent Kuwait and was able to convince the US Senate to use military force to liberate Kuwait.
Kuwaitis still commemorate their righteous martyrs who gave their innocent blood during the period of the sinful invasion so that their homeland could return free and dear. They also remember the role of the brotherly and friendly countries that participated in the war to liberate the country and their great efforts to liberate the country from the clutches of the aggressors.
During the period of the Iraqi aggression, the Kuwaiti people of all categories turned into revolutionaries, male and female, each in his position. Some of them took up arms and resisted on several fronts, while others provided great services to the popular resistance, and women assumed many tasks, so that the entire people became in the ranks of that valiant resistance.
The Kuwaiti people rallied around their wise leadership, which made tremendous efforts to liberate the nation, restore its freedom, and mobilize international support to support the Kuwaiti right in regional and international forums, while the government embraced its people everywhere and provided them with the necessary assistance to reveal a unique image of solidarity and cohesion between the country’s leadership and its proud people.
When the military battles to liberate Kuwait began at dawn on January 17, 1991, the Kuwaiti people were prepared to contribute to the liberation battle, while complete coordination took place between all governmental and popular agencies. The Kuwaiti Air Force participated in the first air strikes, and the Kuwaiti Army was in the first ranks of the allied forces that entered the country.
Despite the bitterness of the invasion and its repercussions, especially at the level of martyrs and missing Kuwaitis, Kuwait has launched its aid to the Iraqi people since 1993 and it is still continuing until now. After the fall of the defunct Iraqi regime in 2003, Kuwait provided aid to Iraq until today it has become one of its largest donors.

The injustice and aggression that the State of Kuwait was subjected to was detrimental to its land and its people, and the theft and plundering of its buildings and facilities will remain in the memory of generations so that they can take lessons and sermons from it and remember with them the heroics and glories it has recorded and the unique national unity it has witnessed and the rare cohesion between the people and their leadership, which is what the people of Kuwait have built upon.
