Kuwaiti wanted in million-dinar fraud cases in police custody

Personnel from the Capital Investigation Department have arrested a Kuwaiti man wanted in connection with four financial cases involving over one million dinars. The arrest came following a carefully planned ambush that prevented the suspect from resisting.

According to a security source, the wanted man was hiding with one of his relatives in a diwaniya in the Farwaniya Governorate and when police received a tip-off a team from the Capital Investigations Department tasked with arresting him, tracked his vehicle.

To execute the arrest discreetly, officers devised a plan and a patrol car intentionally blocked the suspect’s vehicle and pretended that it was stuck. When the suspect climbed out of his vehicle to offer help, officers handcuffed him and took him into custody.

The man has been handed over to the concerned authority for further legal action.
