Kuwaiti, two Gulf nationals get 7 years for citizenship forgery

The Criminal Court, presided over by Counselor Mutab Al-Ardi, has sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen and two Gulf nationals to seven years in prison for forging Kuwaiti citizenship documents dating back to 1994 and continuing through 2024.
In addition to the prison terms, the court ordered two of the defendants to repay the debt and imposed fines totaling KD 443,000 — specifically KD 47,000 and KD 396,000 — as part of the final judgment.
The case is part of Kuwait’s broader efforts to combat fraudulent naturalization, preserve the integrity of national records, and hold those responsible for manipulating citizenship laws accountable.
