Kuwaiti suspect of fraud in Turkey had citizenship revoked weeks ago

As a photo of an ID card linked to a Kuwaiti accused of real estate fraud in Turkey circulated on social media, informed sources confirmed that his Kuwaiti citizenship had been revoked weeks earlier — well before the image and news went public.
According to the sources, the individual’s file had been thoroughly reviewed by the Supreme Committee for Citizenship Investigation prior to the social media exposure. The committee determined that he had used forged identity and nationality documents in his foreign dealings, including during travel and business activities abroad, reports Al-Rai daily.
The sources emphasized that the decision to strip him of citizenship was made following the completion of all legal procedures, and that only the formal inclusion of his name in an upcoming citizenship revocation decree remains, to be published in the Official Gazette.
This case is part of Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to safeguard national identity and crack down on fraud involving citizenship and forged documents, particularly among individuals misusing their status for illicit activities abroad.
