Kuwaiti leadership receives calls of support from world leaders

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received phone calls on 1 March from regional leaders expressing solidarity with Kuwait following the recent Iranian attack on its territory. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan strongly condemned the attack as a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, international law and the UN Charter, affirming Turkey’s full support and readiness to assist. Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa denounced the attack as a breach of sovereignty and voiced Syria’s backing for all measures to safeguard Kuwait’s security and stability.
Omani Sultan Haitham bin Tariq condemned the violation of Kuwait’s territory and airspace, reaffirming Oman’s support for efforts to preserve its sovereignty and security.
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune also condemned the attack and expressed Algeria’s full support for Kuwait. His Highness the Amir expressed appreciation for the leaders’ solidarity and good wishes.
Messages of support and solidarity were also sent to His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, who received phone calls from the leaders of the United Republic of Comoros, the Republic of Senegal, and the State of Palestine. The leaders strongly condemned Iran’s recent attacks on Kuwaiti territory, describing them as blatant violations of sovereignty and international law.
During the calls, His Highness conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and expressed gratitude for the leaders’ firm and fraternal support of Kuwait’s security and stability. The communications highlighted strong international solidarity and reaffirmed a shared commitment to upholding sovereignty and regional peace.
On 4 March His Highness the Crown Prince also received a call from Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who condemned the repeated attacks on Kuwait and emphasized the importance of de-escalation and dialogue to maintain regional stability and civilian security.
The Uzbek President affirmed full support for Kuwait’s measures to preserve its sovereignty. His Highness the Crown Prince conveyed the Amir’s greetings and appreciation for Uzbekistan’s supportive stance.
