Kuwaiti, Indian naval forces conduct joint exercise to boost maritime readiness

On Saturday, the Kuwaiti Navy and the Indian Coast Guard carried out a joint naval exercise aimed at enhancing operational readiness and maritime cooperation.
The exercise involved the Kuwaiti Navy boat ‘Qaruh’ and the Indian Coast Guard ship ‘Sarthak’, focusing on practical firefighting drills, naval supply operations while underway, and strengthening the efficiency of joint maritime operations.
In an official statement, the Kuwaiti Army highlighted that the exercise was conducted as part of broader efforts to enhance maritime security and bolster defense cooperation between the two countries, reports Al-Rai daily.
The drill also aimed to raise the level of operational readiness, promote coordination in international alliances, and contribute to the protection of maritime navigation while ensuring stability in the regional maritime environment.
Officials noted that such exercises are vital for strengthening ties between allied naval forces, improving interoperability, and demonstrating the ability to respond effectively to various maritime scenarios, including emergencies at sea.
