The Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to India, Mishal Mustafa Al-Shamali, participated in a tree-planting ceremony alongside Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, senior government officials, and a delegation of ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps from various Arab and international countries.
The event was organized at the invitation of the Delhi Government’s Minister of Industries, Food and Supplies, and Minister of Environment, Forests and Wildlife.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Al-Shamali planted a tree in a designated spot within the garden of the Indian presidential palace in New Delhi.
The event was part of “Van Mahotsav 2025” (Festival of Trees), a month-long campaign celebrating trees and agriculture. The initiative supports India’s broader “One Tree in the Name of Mother” program, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on World Environment Day, June 5, 2024, encouraging citizens to plant trees to promote environmental conservation and combat climate change.
