Kuwaiti detained for 21 days following assault on doctors
Legal action underway after brutal attack; suspect referred to Central Prison

The Public Prosecution has ordered the detention of a Kuwaiti citizen for 21 days in the Central Prison pending investigation after he reportedly insulted one doctor and fractured another’s physician’s hand using a wheel wrench at the Sabah Al-Salem North Police Station.
The incident occurred after the accused allegedly stalked the two doctors after official working hours, following their refusal to grant him medical leave.
The accused verbally insulted one doctor and violently attacked the other in the medical center’s parking lot, causing a fracture in the hand.
Attorney Elaf Al-Saleh, representing the Kuwait Medical Association and the victims, praised the prompt action of security forces in arresting the assailant and announced plans to file a civil lawsuit seeking the maximum legal penalty to deter attacks against medical personnel.
