Kuwaiti citizen, wife get capital punishment for beating maid to death

The Criminal Court has sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen and his wife to death for the brutal murder of their Filipino maid. The couple was found guilty of beating the maid to death, detaining her, denying her medical treatment, and forcing her to work under torture.

The Public Prosecution had earlier charged the accused with premeditated murder and referred them to the Central Prison, seeking the maximum penalty, reports Al-Rai daily.

The court upheld these charges, confirming their responsibility for the maid’s death due to sustained abuse.
