Kuwaiti citizen wanted over bounced checks, has been arrested
. . . international warrant behind arrest of Kuwaiti

The Kuwaiti citizen who was arrested recently in an Arab country is an ordinary citizen and was wanted in connection with financial cases related to bounced checks, and not linked to any criminal or security offenses.
The source explained that default judgments had been issued against the individual by the Misdemeanor Court, following his failure to attend court sessions.
Based on these rulings, international arrest warrants were issued, leading to his detention outside Kuwait in accordance with established legal procedures and international coordination mechanisms, reports Al-Rai daily.
The source emphasized that the case falls exclusively under financial claims and routine disputes, which are common in similar bounced check cases, and does not involve any organized crime, security threats, or criminal networks.
He added that the legal process is proceeding through the appropriate judicial and diplomatic channels, in line with the regulations governing international arrest warrants and extradition procedures.
