Kuwaiti attacks police officer after assaulting delivery man

A Kuwaiti citizen is facing two felony charges for assault and causing serious injury and a misdemeanor charge, following a violent altercation with a home delivery worker and a subsequent attack on a police officer inside a police station.
According to a security source, the incident began when the citizen received a food order at his home in Mubarak Al-Kabeer. A dispute broke out over the contents of the order, during which the citizen allegedly assaulted the delivery worker and broke his hand, reports Al-Rai daily.
The injured worker filed a complaint at the area police station, supported by a medical report. When the citizen was summoned for questioning, he reportedly became aggressive, picked up a cigarette ashtray from the desk a police officer and struck him on the head, causing injury that required medical treatment and stitches.
The citizen was immediately subdued and placed in custody. The Public Prosecution registered a felony case for assault and causing serious injury due to the delivery worker’s broken hand, and a misdemeanor case for the assault on the officer.
