Kuwaiti Air Defenses Intercept Two Ballistic Missiles and Destroy Drone

Kuwaiti air defense systems intercepted two ballistic missiles and shot down a hostile drone after they breached the country’s airspace, according to the Ministry of Defense.

Official Spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Saud Al-Otaiban, said the Kuwaiti Armed Forces had been confronting a wave of hostile aerial targets from dawn on Monday until midnight.

Air defense units detected two hostile ballistic missiles in the southern part of the country. The missiles were successfully intercepted and destroyed before reaching their targets.

In addition, air defense systems detected one hostile drone, which was engaged and successfully destroyed.

Brigadier General Al-Otaiban confirmed that the Kuwaiti Armed Forces remain on high alert and fully prepared to respond to any threats targeting the country’s security.

He emphasized that the military continues to take all necessary measures to safeguard Kuwait’s sovereignty, security, and stability, while protecting the nation’s interests and capabilities.
