Kuwait women conclude GCC Women’s T20 Championship 2025 campaign on a positive note

Kuwait Women brought their campaign at the GCC Women’s T20 Championship 2025 to a close with an emphatic victory over Saudi Arabia, finishing third in the tournament and signing off a campaign that showcased resilience, progress, and encouraging signs for the future.

The campaign began on a strong note as Kuwait registered a commanding 68-run victory over Qatar in their opening fixture, setting the tone with a disciplined all-round performance. Carrying that momentum forward, Kuwait followed it up with another convincing display against Bahrain, securing a comfortable seven-wicket win to make it two wins from two and underline their growing confidence on the regional stage.

The middle phase of the tournament proved challenging, with Kuwait facing stiff competition against higher-ranked opponents. A nine-wicket defeat against a strong UAE side was followed by a loss to hosts Oman, where Kuwait fought hard but were unable to convert key moments into a positive result.

Showing strong character and resilience, the team responded in style in their final outing, producing a dominant performance against Saudi Arabia to end the championship on a high. The comprehensive win reflected the team’s ability to bounce back and highlighted the growing depth and potential within the squad.

Despite a couple of setbacks, Kuwait Women take plenty of positives from the tournament, including improved performances, valuable experience against quality opposition, and visible growth as a unit. With a solid foundation and rising confidence, the team looks well placed as they continue their journey and prepare for future international challenges.
