Kuwait withdraws citizenship from 36 people
. . . cites Article 11 of Amiri Decree No. 15 of 1959

The Supreme Committee for Kuwaiti Citizenship Investigation has issued a decision revoking the citizenship of 36 people, according to an official ruling published in the supplement of the government gazette Kuwait Alyawm on Wednesday.
Decision No. (6/37) of 2026 stipulates the citizenship was withdrawn based on Article 11 of Amiri Decree No. 15 of 1959, which governs the Kuwaiti Nationality Law and its amendments.
The article states that a Kuwaiti citizen loses citizenship if he or she voluntarily acquires a foreign nationality, which forms the legal basis for the decision issued by the committee.
The ruling reflects the continued enforcement of nationality regulations and procedures related to dual citizenship cases in accordance with existing Kuwaiti law.
