Kuwait welcomes U.S. efforts to end Gaza war, expresses confidence in Trump’s mediation
The State of Kuwait has welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump’s efforts to end the war in the Gaza Strip, expressing confidence in his ability to help achieve a peaceful and lasting solution.
In a statement issued today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs commended Washington’s initiatives under President Trump’s leadership to bring an end to the conflict, safeguard the rights of the Palestinian people, and pave the way for reconstruction.
“The State of Kuwait welcomes and commends the efforts made by the friendly United States of America, under the leadership of His Excellency President Donald Trump, to end the war in the Gaza Strip and reach an agreement that ends the suffering of the brotherly Palestinian people, safeguards their inalienable rights, leads to a full withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces from the Strip, begins reconstruction, prevents the displacement of the Palestinian people, and supports a just and comprehensive peace,” the ministry’s statement read.
The Foreign Ministry added that Kuwait fully trusts President Trump’s ability to achieve a peaceful resolution in Gaza and voiced support for his ongoing mediation.
The statement stressed the urgent need for humanitarian aid to reach Palestinians and reaffirmed that peace must be grounded in the two-state solution, enabling the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
