Kuwait welcomes Macron’s pledge to recognize State of Palestine

Kuwait has welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron’s declaration of his country’s intention to officially recognize the State of Palestine, calling it a significant move toward justice and lasting peace.

In an official statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised France’s position, emphasizing that it aligns with United Nations Security Council resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, reports Al-Rai daily.

The Ministry affirmed that the move would support the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Kuwait also urged other nations to take similar steps to help bring about a just and comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian issue, stressing the importance of international solidarity in realizing Palestinian statehood.
