Kuwait urges citizens to use ‘Sahel’ for emergency travel documents
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the importance for Kuwaitis to follow the laws of the countries they plan to visit and highlighted the need to safeguard personal property and passports.

Citizens can use the ‘Sahel’ application to issue an emergency travel document electronically or visit the Kuwaiti embassy in the respective country to obtain the document.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the importance for citizens to follow the laws and regulations of the countries they plan to visit during the vacation period.
It also highlighted the need to safeguard personal property and passports. This advisory aligns with the ministry’s commitment to monitoring the well-being of Kuwaiti citizens abroad as the summer vacation approaches.
The ministry urged citizens to use the travel document issuance service, supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Interior, in case of losing a passport abroad.
Citizens can use the ‘Sahel’ application to issue an emergency travel document electronically or visit the Kuwaiti embassy in the respective country to obtain the document.
The ministry highlighted that citizens can contact the mission of the State of Kuwait in the respective country using the mission’s emergency numbers.
