Kuwait University rolls out internal electric mobility project

The project will use eco-friendly transportation methods to contribute to building a flexible, safe, and sustainable transportation system serving all university members.

  • The electric mobility project will help remove obstacles facing students and facilitate their transportation from parking lots to university buildings and colleges, said Dr. Noura Al-Suwaih.

Kuwait University has unveiled an internal electric mobility project at Sabah Al-Salem University City in Shadadiyah as part of its plan to promote environmental sustainability and improve the student experience on campus, reported Al Qabas newspaper.

Dr. Noura Al-Suwaih, the Acting Secretary-General of Kuwait University and its official spokesperson, said the project will use environmentally friendly transportation methods to contribute to building a flexible, safe, and sustainable transportation system serving university members.

Al-Suwaih revealed that the project is the fruit of the efforts of the Security and Safety Department, a step aimed at removing obstacles facing students and facilitating their transportation from parking lots to university buildings and colleges.

She further said that the university will organize mobile awareness campaigns to introduce the project to university members and answer their inquiries, noting that these campaigns will be conducted according to a schedule.

She emphasized the need to adhere to guidelines and instructions to ensure the success of the system and maximize the benefits for all members of the university community.
