Kuwait University advances 400 places in Times Impact Rankings 2026

Kuwait University (KU) on Thursday announced a significant advancement in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2026, climbing nearly 400 places globally.
Times Higher Education Impact Rankings measure universities’ contributions to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in which Kuwait University climbed nearly 400 places globally to reach the 401-600 category from the 801-1000 category last year.
In a press statement, Kuwait University said the achievement reflects its academic, research and community impact and strengthens its presence among global universities in the fields of sustainability and institutional responsibility.
It added that the progress is the result of continuous efforts by its faculty and staff to align education, scientific research and community service with sustainable development requirements through the development of qualitative initiatives and programs, the enhancement of effective partnerships and the expansion of contributions to addressing priority development issues at both the national and international levels.
The university noted that the advancement embodies its commitment to implementing its institutional strategy based on the pillars of quality, innovation, distinguished presence and sustainability.
It affirmed its commitment to continuing the development of institutional performance, enhancing its scientific and societal impact and improving its standing in global rankings in a manner that supports its national mission and contributes to achieving sustainable development goals. – Kuna
