Kuwait University has announced its acceptance of 47 male and female foreign students who are studying at their own expense for the second semester of the academic year 2023/2024. These students have been admitted to the College of Administrative Sciences and are high school graduates from various nationalities who meet the university’s requirements, reported Al-Qabas Daily.
Dr. Fadel Aziz, the Acting Dean of Admissions and Registration at Kuwait University, confirmed this news in a press statement. He explained that the admission of self-funded foreign students was based on their preferences and in accordance with the number of seats available in the College of Administrative Sciences. The decisions were made in compliance with the regulations set by the University Council and the Council of Public Universities.
Furthermore, the minimum acceptance criteria for Kuwaiti students in the college were taken into consideration, along with the admission policy for the academic year 2023/2024. Dr. Aziz clarified that non-Kuwaiti students applying to any of the university’s specializations must meet a minimum criteria, which states that their secondary school certificate or equivalent average should not be lower than the lowest score accepted from Kuwaiti students in the same specialization.
To inform the accepted students about their specialization, the university will send short text messages to their registered mobile numbers. Accepted students can access the electronic admission system website at http://portal.ku.edu.kw/admission to receive their admission approval online. Dr. Aziz encouraged all applicants to check the website mentioned above to find out the results of their acceptance. He congratulated the accepted students and their families, wishing them a successful academic journey at Kuwait University.
