Kuwait unanimously elected to Executive Bureau of Arab Youth and Sports Ministers Council

Kuwait was unanimously elected on Tuesday to the Executive Bureau of the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports for the next four years, securing the full support of all member states of the League of Arab States.
The election took place at the conclusion of the 49th session of the Council, held at the headquarters of the Arab League and chaired by the UAE Minister of Sports, Dr. Ahmed Al-Falasi.
Kuwait was represented at the meeting by Nasser Al-Sheikh, Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Youth.
Kuwait topped with 22 votes, reflecting unanimous confidence from Arab member states in its role and contributions to youth and sports development across the region.
The newly formed Executive Bureau comprises Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Algeria, Iraq, Egypt and Palestine.
It was also decided that Egypt will assume the presidency of the Executive Bureau, while Jordan will serve as First Vice President and Iraq as Second Vice President.
The election underscores Kuwait’s active role in supporting Arab youth initiatives, enhancing sports development and strengthening regional cooperation in youth and sports affairs.
