Kuwait, UK strengthen military and security cooperation

The Director-General of the Coast Guard, Brigadier General Mubarak Ali Al-Sabah, affirmed the depth of the historical ties between Kuwait and the United Kingdom and highlighted the continuous development of military and security cooperation between the two nations.
This came during his reception of the UK’s Senior Defense Advisor for Middle East Affairs, Vice Admiral Edward Al-Green, and his accompanying delegation at Sabah Al-Ahmad Air Base.

In a statement, the Ministry of Interior said the meeting discussed several issues of mutual interest, particularly matters related to security and ways to further develop bilateral relations.

The British delegation was also briefed on the latest advancements at the General Directorate of Coast Guard, including the newly implemented coastal surveillance system and the addition of maritime drones to its fleet.
The Ministry added that the visit reflects the shared commitment of both countries to strengthen security and maritime cooperation in a way that serves strategic interests and enhances stability in the region.
