Kuwait to host Gulf oil ministers undersecretaries meeting next Tuesday

Kuwait is set to host the 19th meeting of the Committee of Undersecretaries of Petroleum Ministries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) next Tuesday.

According to a press release issued by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Oil, the meeting is being held in preparation for the forthcoming session of the Petroleum Cooperation Committee at the level of oil and energy ministers, also scheduled to take place in Kuwait.

During the meeting, according to Al-Jarida daily, the undersecretaries will address key strategic issues to strengthen joint Gulf action in the oil and energy sector.

Sheikh Dr. Nimr Fahad Al-Malik Al-Sabah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, emphasized that Kuwait’s hosting of the session demonstrates its steadfast commitment to promoting coordination among GCC states on energy matters.

Sheikh Nimr Al-Sabah noted that the agenda includes crucial topics designed to reinforce the GCC states’ position in global energy markets and advance energy security strategies.

He added that, under Kuwait’s current presidency, the country will continue to exert all efforts to support Gulf unity in oil and energy and collaborate closely with fellow GCC members to foster broader cooperation for the benefit of the region and its people.
