Kuwait to experience warm weather during days and mild to cool nights this weekend

Kuwait’s weather over the upcoming weekend is expected to be generally warm during the day and mild to cool at night, according to the Meteorological Department.

Acting Director Dharar Al-Ali told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that a high-pressure system extending from the northwest is influencing the country, bringing relatively hot and dry air. Temperatures are expected to gradually decrease, accompanied by light to moderate northwesterly winds that may occasionally become active.

On Thursday, daytime temperatures are forecast to range between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius, with northwesterly to variable winds blowing at speeds of 8 to 40 kilometers per hour. The sea is expected to be light to moderate, with waves ranging from 1 to 4 feet. Nighttime temperatures will drop to between 13 and 15 degrees Celsius, with light to moderate winds and calm sea conditions.

Friday will see similar conditions, with daytime highs of 33 to 35 degrees Celsius and northwesterly to variable winds at 8 to 32 kilometers per hour. Night temperatures will range from 14 to 16 degrees Celsius, and the sea will remain slight to moderate with waves between 2 and 4 feet.

Saturday is also expected to be warm, with maximum temperatures between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius and light to moderate northwesterly to variable winds of 8 to 35 kilometers per hour. Nighttime temperatures will be mild to cool, ranging from 15 to 17 degrees Celsius, with light to moderate winds and scattered clouds. Sea conditions will remain calm, with waves between 1 and 4 feet.

Al-Ali noted that the combination of warm days and cooler nights is typical under the current high-pressure system and encourages residents to stay hydrated during daytime activities while enjoying pleasant evenings outdoors.

The Meteorological Department will continue monitoring the weather and provide updates as conditions evolve over the weekend.
