Kuwait to experience hot days, cool nights, and scattered rain
The weekend weather pattern is expected to start on Saturday and extend until early Sunday morning, after which the likelihood of rain will decrease by Sunday morning.
The Meteorological Department expects the country’s weekend weather to be generally hot during the day and cold at night, with chances of scattered light rain that may be thundery. This weather pattern is forecasted to begin on Saturday, and continue until dawn next Sunday. Subsequently, the chances of rain will diminish by Sunday morning.
Abdulaziz Al-Qarawi, Director of the Meteorological Department informed Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that weather maps and numerical models suggest the country is experiencing the influence of an extended high-pressure system. This system is expected to gradually retreat, making way for the approach of a surface low-pressure system accompanied by a humid air mass. Concurrently, there is an extension of an upper-level atmospheric low-pressure system, resulting in the proliferation of low and medium clouds, interspersed with some cumulus clouds.
He added that the weather today, Thursday, will be warm, with light to moderate northwesterly winds, intermittently active between 12 and 40 kilometers per hour, and scattered clouds will appear. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 28 and 29 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate, occasionally rising between 2 and 6 feet.
He explained that the weather tonight will be cold, with light to moderate northwesterly winds at speeds between 10 and 32 kilometers per hour. Some scattered clouds will appear, and the expected minimum temperature will be between 17 and 19 degrees Celsius. The sea will be light to moderate, with waves between 2 and 4 feet.
