Kuwait to bolster airport operations with expanded global network cooperation
H E Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, The head of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, confirmed on Monday the keenness of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation to strengthen cooperation with several countries in the fields of air transport in an effort to connect Kuwait International Airport with the largest operational network.
In a statement made on the sidelines of the delegation of the State of Kuwait at the annual meeting of ICAN 2024, which kicks off today in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, Al-Hamoud said that “this meeting is a suitable opportunity for countries to discuss in order to sign bilateral agreements to regulate air transport between them or to update the memorandums of understanding on operational matters that are in the interests of countries and their affiliated airlines.”
He explained that the State of Kuwait will strive through its participation in this meeting among 73 countries to sign agreements and memorandums of understanding with several countries.
Al-Hamoud particularly stressed that this is to achieve their interests by expanding its network of relations with other countries and also to achieve the demands of its national carriers to link Kuwait International Airport; with the largest operational network with other airports so that all passengers to and from Kuwait International Airport, will benefit immensely from it.
