Kuwait thanks Bahrain, Jordan, Turkey for helping secure release of ‘Flotilla’ citizens

Kuwait has expressed its deep gratitude to the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Turkey, and all other brotherly and friendly nations for their cooperation and coordination over the past several days, which led to the release of two Kuwaiti nationals, while efforts are continuing to secure the release of a third citizen who remains in detention.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kuwait said that these developments come as part of the ongoing measures taken to ensure the release of all Kuwaiti citizens who participated in the Global Resilience Flotilla.

The Ministry reaffirmed that the safety and well-being of Kuwaiti citizens abroad remain a top national priority and stressed that it will continue to work tirelessly to guarantee their safe return home as soon as possible.

Earlier, Kuwaiti activist Mubarak Al-Mutawa told Al-Rai that the two freed citizens, Mohammed Jamal and Abdullah Al-Mutawa, have safely arrived in Türkiye.

Meanwhile, Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah confirmed that the Ministry is closely following up on the situation to ensure the swift return of all Kuwaiti participants in the flotilla.
