Kuwait bans trucks on main roads during peak hours from Sept 1

The Ministry of Interior, through the General Traffic Department, announced on Saturday that trucks will be banned from using main roads starting September 1, 2025, and continuing until June 14, 2026.

According to the Ministry’s statement, the restriction applies during two daily peak periods: from 6:30 to 9:00 in the morning, and from 12:30 to 3:30 in the afternoon, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The decision, the Ministry explained, reflects its commitment to regulating traffic flow and reducing congestion during times of heavy vehicle movement.
