The Public Authority for Housing Welfare has signed a major contract to construct a new set of public buildings, services, and infrastructure within the N12 district center of Al Mutlaa Residential City, marking another significant step in the development of one of Kuwait’s largest housing projects.

Acting Director-General Engineer Rashid Al-Enezi said the contract covers the construction, completion, and maintenance of ten essential public facilities.

These include a main central market, a primary health center and ambulance station, a police station, a citizens’ services center, a municipality office, a post office, a social services building, a community development center, and a Ministry of Commerce and Industry branch.

The agreement also includes the development of commercial shops and three power substations, together with full service and infrastructure works planned for the district. The total contract value stands at 19.13 million dinars, with a completion period of 900 days.

Al-Enezi noted that the authority is currently supervising the construction of 131 service buildings across the country. These include congregational mosques and residences for imams and muezzins, kindergartens, primary, intermediate, and secondary schools, specialized and general health centers, integrated ambulance-equipped health centers, gas branches, market buildings, police stations, post offices, municipality buildings, community development centers, social service units, and suburban shops.

Additional facilities such as a fire station, telephone exchange, and a main post office are also under development in non-residential areas.

He confirmed that construction progress remains on schedule and is advancing in line with approved timelines for each project.

Al-Enezi added that the authority has already completed 116 buildings in several suburbs of Al Mutlaa, including N5, N6, N7, N8, N9, N10, and N11.

These completed facilities comprise 20 schools across all educational levels, 24 local mosques, two congregational mosques, 26 residences for imams and muezzins, three health centers, two ambulance stations, 20 commercial complexes, two central markets, four gas distribution centers, two police stations, two citizen service centers, a fire station, and buildings for the municipality, social services unit, community development center, and post office.

All completed structures have been handed over to the respective government authorities for operation.

The new contract represents another milestone in the ongoing development of Al Mutlaa Residential City, which is intended to provide modern infrastructure, essential services, and a well-integrated urban environment for thousands of future residents.
