Kuwait signs contract for South Mutlaa City purification plant with Turkish firm Kozo

Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan on behalf of the Government of Kuwait signed today a contract with the Turkish company Kozo for the construction, operation, and maintenance of the South Mutlaa City purification plant and its complementary works.
The project, one of the Ministry’s key development plan initiatives, aims to serve the residents of Mutlaa City by producing approximately 400,000 cubic meters of tertiary treated water per day for agricultural and other non-potable uses, reports Al-Rai daily.
The Ministry of Public Works stated that the purification plant represents a pioneering step in the adoption of alternative energy technologies to support Kuwait’s sustainability goals and enhance water resource efficiency.
The new facility is expected to meet the growing urban expansion needs of South Mutlaa City while aligning with Kuwait’s national vision for infrastructure modernization and environmental protection.
