Kuwait sets prices for vital medicines in public interest move
The Ministry of Heath's decision comes within the framework of the periodic review of drug prices, and in continuation of the implementation stages of reducing drug prices.
Dr. Ahmed Abdel Wahab Al-Awadhi, the Minister of Health, issued a ministerial decision that established the pricing for several medicines and pharmaceutical preparations, following the recommendation of the Drug Pricing Committee in the Ministry of Health and in consideration of public interest requirements.
The decision included the approval of prices for 228 medicines and pharmaceutical preparations, along with amendments to 10 medicines and pharmaceutical preparations listed in the decision. It is provided that the list of prices and amendments will be added to Ministerial Resolution No. 74 of 2023.
The ministerial decision comes within the framework of the periodic review of drug prices, and in continuation of the implementation stages of reducing drug prices, based on the recommendations of the Ministerial Committee on the Pricing of Medicines and Nutritional Supplements formed by Ministerial Resolution No. 117 of 2018.
