Kuwait, Saudi Arabia reaffirm strategic ties during high-level talks in NEOM

Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister HRH Mohammed bin Salman received Kuwait’s Prime Minister HH Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah and his accompanying delegation on Monday in NEOM during the Kuwaiti leader’s official visit to the Kingdom.

During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and wishes for continued prosperity for Saudi Arabia and its people.

The Kuwait News Agency reported that both sides reviewed the solid and historic cooperation between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, and explored ways to deepen bilateral integration across all levels. They affirmed the importance of continued coordination and consultation, aiming to elevate the strategic partnership and strengthen the foundations of joint cooperation.

The leaders also exchanged views on key regional and international developments, reiterating their commitment to supporting regional peace and stability. The discussions highlighted joint efforts to bolster security and promote peace in the region and the world.

Earlier, Prime Minister Al-Abdullah and his delegation arrived in NEOM, where they were received by Prince Turki bin Mohammed, Saudi Ambassador Prince Sultan bin Saad, and other senior Kuwaiti diplomats including Acting Charge d’Affaires Hamad Al-Salloum and Consul General Yousef Al-Tunaib.

Upon arrival, the Kuwaiti Prime Minister expressed pride in visiting the Kingdom, noting the deep-rooted historical and fraternal ties between the two countries. He described the visit as an opportunity to enhance bilateral cooperation and ongoing consultations on matters of mutual interest.

He also praised the wise leadership and regional influence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

His Highness later returned to Kuwait, where he was received at the airport by senior government officials — First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sharida Al-Muasherji and Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali Al-Sabah and senior Kuwaiti officials.
