Kuwait, Saudi Arabia conduct ‘Gulf Peace 1’ naval exercise to boost combat readiness

The “Gulf Peace 1” joint naval exercise, conducted by the Kuwaiti Naval Force in cooperation with the Royal Saudi Naval Force at King Abdulaziz Naval Base, featured the execution of several operational scenarios aimed at enhancing combat readiness and strengthening joint coordination between participating units.

The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army stated that the exercise included the application of command-and-control procedures through naval operations centers, training on search and rescue missions, management of naval engagements, and countering threats posed by unmanned boats.

The drills also involved defense and protection operations for offshore oil installations, in addition to live-fire exercises carried out by participating ships and naval units reports Al-Rai daily.

The General Staff noted that the exercise forms part of the Naval Force’s approved training program with the naval forces of brotherly and friendly countries, contributing to the unification of tactical concepts and the enhancement of operational efficiency and performance.
Such exercises reflect Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening regional security cooperation and maintaining a high level of preparedness to address evolving maritime challenges.
